The Dead Weather is an alternative rock band that formed in Nashville, Tennessee last year. The band is a supergroup that is composed of Jack White (vocals, guitar, drums), Alison Mosshart (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Dean Fertita (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), and Jack Lawrence (bass, drums, backing vocals). All four members are also members of multiple other projects with White, Lawrence, and Fertita all being members of other Tiger bands (The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and Queens of the Stone Age). The band formed in White's adopted hometown of Nashville after he asked Mosshart to sit in on vocals with The Raconteurs. White, Lawrence, and Mosshart then recorded a 7" single with Fertita, whom they met at the studio. That recording session turned into a jam session that saw the formation of the band. Their debut album Horehound was quickly recorded and released in 2009, and the group followed it up with their sophomore album Sea of Cowards earlier this year. The second single from that record, "Blue Blood Blues", hits the Tiger this week.

Interpol is an alternative rock group that formed in 1997 in New York City. The band's current lineup is Paul Banks (vocals, guitar), Daniel Kessler (guitar, vocals), and Sam Fogarino (drums). Kessler and original drummer Greg Drudy formed the band in New York in '97, with recently departed bassist Carlos Dengler and frontman Paul Banks joining later that year. Drudy left before the band released anything of note, and was replaced by Fogarino in 2000. 2002 was a big year for the group as they released their self-titled EP and their acclaimed debut album Turn on the Bright Lights. Antics spawned their first major radio hits in 2004, and the band moved to a major label for the release of Our Love to Admire in 2007. After seeing Dengler depart earlier this year, the now trio releases its fourth album, which will be self-titled. The first single is called "Barricade", and it hits the Tiger this week.
