To celebrate SportsCall’s 25th anniversary, we’re taking a look back at the 25 greatest Auburn football victories in the past 25 years.
Coming in at #22 is Auburn’s 2000 victory over Georgia:
- After a 75-yard interception return and two field goals from Billy Bennett, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 13-0 lead
- Auburn QB Ben Leard threw two touchdowns in the second half to accompany Duval’s two field goals before the game would end in overtime
- Rudi Johnson led the way for Auburn on the ground, but it was Ben Leard’s rushing touchdown from one yard out that would seal the win for the Tigers
