As we celebrate SportsCall’s 25th anniversary, we’re taking a look back at the 25 greatest Auburn football wins since 1995!

Coming in at #4 is Auburn’s 2004 SEC Championship Game win against Tennessee:

  • The 11-0 Tigers headed to Atlanta after an Iron Bowl victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide. In Atlanta waiting for them was a rematch with the Tennessee Volunteers – this time to decide the SEC champion
  • After a 24 point win in Neyland Stadium months before, this rematch between the teams was closer. However, Auburn won for the second time by a score of 38-28 behind two touchdowns from QB Jason Campbell and Auburn’s dominant rushing duo of Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown
  • The Tigers became 12-0 and would eventually become 13-0 after defeating the Virginia Tech Hokies in the Sugar Bowl. Auburn, an undefeated SEC champion, would miss out on a chance to play for the national championship – a situation that many point to as a reason the College Football Playoff eventually came
