Stanton homered in all three games of the Yankees series against the Boston Red Sox and drove in 10 runs total.
He joined elite company, as he became the first Yankee since Mickey Mantle to drive in 10 runs in a series against the Red Sox, and he also joined Joe DiMaggio as the only other Yankee to hit a home run in each game of a three-game series against them.
The Yankees and Red Sox are in a tight battle to determine AL Wild Card seeding, and Stanton’s clutch performance has given the team a chance to host the AL Wild Card game at Yankee Stadium.
