New England Patriots quarterback and former Auburn Tiger Cam Newton will be held out of team activities until Thursday due to a “misunderstanding” on COVID-19 tests “conducted away from NFL facilities.”
Newton went to a team-approved medical appointment that required him to leave the New England area, and according to the Patriots, “He received daily Covid tests, which were all negative.”
