A few months ago, Simon Gallup made a social media post saying he was leaving his band, The Cure. When asked if it was for health reasons, Gallup said he was fine, just “fed up with betrayal.”
Last week however, a picture of Gallup was posted with his other project, Alice Blue Gown. In the comments of that post, a fan asked “Is Simon still with The Cure?” Gallup himself responded, “Yes I am.”
While not the band’s original bassist, Gallup is the second-longest tenured member of the band, behind frontman Robert Smith.
