Lorne Michaels, the showrunner for Saturday Night Live since 1975, has kickstarted a lot of careers. Many have said that getting on SNL is the spring board for a successful career, while getting rejected is a kiss of death.
That hasn’t always been the case however. Michaels has rejected many comedians who have gone on to have successful careers.
