Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is SportsCall’s Player of the Week!
Evans logged the game of his career in Sunday’s win over the Carolina Panthers, catching 10 passes for 207 yards and all three of Tom Brady’s passing touchdowns. The yardage total is only two yards behind Evans’ career high. Evans also caught two touchdowns of over 50 yards in the game, becoming the first Buccaneer ever to accomplish the feat.
With the 200-yard performance, Evans logged his 9th consecutive season with over 1,000 receiving yards, the first player ever to begin a career with those marks. He also scored his 500th point, putting him at 3rd in the all time franchise scoring charts.
With the win, Tampa Bay secured the NFC South for the 2nd year in a row, and secured their spot in the playoffs.
