Auburn Softball’s Maddie Penta is SportsCall’s Player of the Week!
The SEC leader in wins added to her season total in Auburn’s series win over Alabama this past weekend, starting and winning the last two games in the series. Penta pitched all 14 innings, giving up just two runs and giving the Tigers their first series win over Alabama since 2018.
In game three, Penta out-dueled Alabama starter and three-time All-American Montana Fouts. With the win, Auburn is now tied for third in the SEC standings, with two weeks remaining in the regular season.
