Auburn linebacker Eugene Asante is SportsCall’s Player of the Week!
The Virginia native put the Tigers on his back against Cal, logging 12 total tackles, one sack, and one pass breakup. Behind the effort from Asante and the rest of the defense, the Tigers beat the Bears 14-10 to move to 2-0 on the season.
After the game, Asante was named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
