Auburn softball slugger Amelia Lech is SportsCall’s Player of the Week!
The slugging transfer out of Maryland took over at the plate for Auburn in the weekend series over Alabama, helping the Tiger to take two out of three over the 17th ranked Crimson Tide.
Lech only had two hits in eight AB’s on the series, but both hist were home runs, plating a total of three runs to help Auburn take two games in a series dominated by pitching.
With the series win, Auburn moved to 10th in the SEC, and avoids playing on the first day of the SEC Tournament.
