Johni Broome is SportsCall’s Player of the Week!
Broome once again added to the spectacular moments of his career, logging two first-half double-doubles in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 in Atlanta.
Against Michigan in the Sweet 16, Broome scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, dominating against Michigan’s two-big lineup and leading Auburn to a 78-65 win.
Two days later in the Elite 8, Broome scored 25 points, including making both three-point attempts and grabbing 14 boards, leading Auburn to a 70-64 victory over the Michigan State Spartans.
For his performances, Broome was named Most Outstanding Player of the South Regional, and has led Auburn to its second ever appearance in the Final Four.
