It’s Back! The Tiger’s Movie Monday brings your a must see film from the silver screen every week right here!

“The Hill” has all of the characteristics you would want in my opinion. Any movie
that is based on a true story always tends to scare me off because I always feel that it is
extremely exaggerated to try and keep the audience interested. This movie seemed as
if it could have been very realistic while also very entertaining. The movie is filled with
baseball and religion which seems to be on point with Rickey Hill’s life outside of the
movie. The brother to brother connection between Rickey and Robert really made you
appreciate their loyalty to each other. The final characteristic is ofcourse a little
romance. I mean what religious baseball movie doesn’t have romance.
The acting was very corny at times, but I could see the Hill family being corny so
it didn’t hurt the movie that bad. I have always loved Dennis Quaid since “The Rookie”,
but I didn’t think this role of the angry dad/pastor fit him that great. I may just be a little
brainwashed and used to the super nice and great dad that he was in “The Rookie.”
Overall, I think it is worth the watch. I believe it is more of a family movie with
many lessons that can be learned while watching a little baseball action.
