As music venues are struggling to bring in revenue during the pandemic, the National Independent Venues Association is asking Congress to allocate $10 billion to prevent small venues from shutting down because of COVID-19.
The bill, called the Save our Stages Act, would cover expenses like rent, utilities, and other operating costs from the pandemic.
There are about 25 music venues in Alabama that would benefit from the act.
