Cher has congratulated Kate Bush for breaking her record as the oldest woman to reach number one in the UK Official Singles Chart following the renewed success of song Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God).
Kate’s 1985 song has shot to the top of the charts after featuring in Netflix’s Stranger Things, and at 63-years-old, Kate beat Cher’s record of being the oldest female chart-topper as she was just 52 when 1998’s Believe hit the top spot.
