Takeaways:

It’s very clear that under new leadership, the Carolina Panthers are a different team. And after their shocking win against the Bucs last week, these guys believed in themselves and it showed. The defense struggled to stop running back D’Onta Foreman as he ran for over 100 yards and three touchdowns, and will hope to get back on track next week. The offense started slow, but was able to keep pace and put together solid drives to stay in the game. Kyle Pitts had a great day hauling in 5 catches for 80 yards and added his second touchdown of the day. This game probably should have ended in a loss for the Falcons when PJ Walker hit DJ Moore for a hail mary touchdown for tie the game with 12 seconds left. But a costly mistake by Moore ended up taking the game into overtime. Sometimes you just need a little bit of luck, and at the end of the day that’s what the Falcons got to win this game. Up next, Justin Herbert and the Chargers come to town coming off of a bye week and the Falcons get a chance to build their lead in the NFC South.
