Auburn Softball pitcher Maddie Penta is SportsCall’s Player of the Week!
The 2023 SEC Pitcher of the Year started 4 games over last week, logging a no-hitter against UNI, a perfect game against Georgia State, the third in Auburn Softball history, and striking out 45 total batters. She also extended her streak of innings without giving up an earned run to 26. WIth the efforts, Penta has trimmed down her ERA on the season to 0.6.
Auburn went 4-0 in those starts by Penta, including an undefeated run in the Jane B. Moore Memorial Tournament over Northwestern, North Texas, and UNC Upstate.
