American swimmer Katie Ledecky is SportsCall’s Player of the Week!
Over the past week, the former Stanford standout added to her impressive record by winning six more medals, including two golds. In the 800-meter freestyle, she won her fourth straight gold in the event, dating back to the 2012 Olympics in London.
Ledecky’s other gold came earlier in the 1500-meter freestyle, where she won by 10 seconds and set the Olympic record. With that time, she now holds the 20 fastest times ever recorded in the event.
She now owns 14 Olympic medals, making her the most decorated American female Olympian ever.
