Auburn sophomore, Ja’Kobe Tharp, won his second national title this past Friday. Auburn finishes fourth overall at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

Tharp ran a 13.05 seconds in the 110m hurdles to secure the title. His time was the fifth fastest NCAA time ever and the third fastest this year.

“I knew I had it in me,” Tharp said. “I just had to go out there and get it done.”

This makes him the seventh athlete in the program’s history to win a indoor and outdoor championship in the same year.

Early this year, Tharp won his first national title at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach after running a 7.45 seconds in the 60m hurdles.
