Auburn center Johni Broome was taken in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft.

This year the NBA Draft was split into a two night affair broadcasted on ESPN June 25th and 26th. The first round went by without seeing a Auburn star center, Johni Broome, being selected.

Broome elected to attend night two, where he did not have to wait long. The Philadelphia 76ers drafted him with the 35th pick.

This is now the seventh player to player to be selected in the NBA Draft under head coach Bruce Pearl. Last player drafted was Walker Kessler back in 2022 to the Utah Jazz.

Other former Tigers have now gone on to sign with teams.

  • Miles Kelly, G, signed with the Dallas Mavericks
  • Dylan Cardwell, C, signed with the Sacramento Kings
  • Chaney Johnson, F, signed Exhibit 10 contract with the Cleveland CavaliersĀ
