2006– Taylor Swift released her self-titled debut studio album. The album would go on to
become the longest charting on the Billboard 200 of the decade, spending 277 weeks in total on
the chart.

1970– Pink Floyd were at No. 1 on the UK album chart for the first time with ‘Atom Heart
Mother’.

1962– American soul singer James Brown recorded the legendary “Live at the Apollo” album.
The album was listed at No. 24 in Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all
time.
