1997 – Scandinavian dance-pop act Aqua began a four-week run at No. 1 on the UK singles
chart with “Barbie Girl”. The world-wide hit sold more than 8 million copies worldwide.

1980 – Bruce Springsteen reached the top of the US album chart for the first time with ‘The River’.

1969 – Elvis Presley went to No. 1 on the US singles chart for the 18 th time in his career with “Suspicious Minds”.

1969 – The Beatles reached the top spot of the US album chart for the 13 th time in their career. The album contained the final studio recordings from the group.
