1990 – Vanilla Ice started a 16-week run at No. 1 on the US album chart with ‘To the Extreme’.

1979 – The Eagles went to No. 1 on the US singles chart with “Heartache Tonight”. It was the band’s fifth and final song to reach the top spot.

1973 – Elton John began an eight-week stay on top of the US album chart. ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ marked the third time that Elton John had a US No. 1 album.
