Braves 2nd baseman Ozzie Albies is SportsCall’s Player of the Week!
The Curacao native is doing his part as the Braves offense attempts to get back to its normal self nearing the midpoint of the season.
Over the past few games, Albies has three extra base hits, including a homer, and has driven home five runs in addition to scoring four himself. He also logged his fifth stolen base of the year over the past week.
Over that span, the Braves have had one of their best stretches of the season, registering a 4-1 record, sweeping Detroit and winning two out of three against the team with the best record in the majors, the New York Yankees, in the Bronx.
