To celebrate SportsCall’s 25th anniversary, we’re taking a look back at the 25 greatest Auburn football victories in the past 25 years.
Coming in at #21 is Auburn’s 1999 victory over Georgia:
- Behind the arm and legs of Ben Leard, Auburn jumped out to a 38-0 lead over the 16th ranked Georgia Bulldogs
- 249 of Leard’s 416 passing yards would go to Ronney Daniels, including two 50+ yard touchdowns. The duo led Auburn to a dominating win over their Eastern division rivals
- Fun fact: 1999 would be the last time Auburn would face current Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart as a player
