As we celebrate SportsCall’s 25th anniversary, we’re taking a look back at the 25 greatest Auburn football games since 1995!

Coming in at #3 is Auburn’s 2010 Iron Bowl win against Alabama:

  • All that stood between the #1 ranked Auburn Tigers and a perfect 12-0 season in 2010 was a trip inside their rivals and the defending national champions, Alabama Crimson Tide’s home stadium. It was a nightmare start to the game as the Tide jumped out in front 24-0
  • Auburn would slowly make its way back into the game until star quarterback Cameron Newton found Phillip Lutzenkirchen for the go-ahead touchdown early in the fourth quarter to make it 28-27, which would eventually be the final score as the Tigers completed a perfect regular season
  • The 28-27 win against the Crimson Tide inside Bryant-Denny Stadium sent Auburn to the SEC Championship with a 12-0 record and is the last time an Auburn football team came away with a victory over their rivals inside Tuscaloosa. Since the game, Auburn is 3-2 against Alabama at home and 0-5 on the road
