To celebrate SportsCall’s 25th anniversary, we’re taking a look back at the 25 greatest Auburn football victories in the past 25 years.
Coming in at #19 is Auburn’s 2017 Iron Bowl victory against Alabama:
- One week after hosting and beating #1 Georgia, Auburn welcomed another #1 team to Jordan-Hare Stadium for the 2017 Iron Bowl vs. Alabama
- Kerryon Johnson, Ryan Davis, and Jarrett Stidham led the way on offense for the Tigers. Tray Matthews and Deshaun Davis led the team in tackles as Auburn got its first Iron Bowl win since the Kick Six
- Gus Malzahn defeated Nick Saban and reached the SEC Championship for the second time in his tenure as the Auburn head coach, just the second Auburn coach to do so
