As we celebrate SportsCall’s 25th anniversary, we’re taking a look back at the 25 greatest Auburn football wins over the past 25 years.
Coming in at #13 is Auburn’s 2017 win over Georgia:
- The Georgia Bulldogs came into the 2017 edition of the rivalry ranked #1 overall and having already locked up a spot in the SEC Championship
- The Dawgs would score the game’s first seven points before Auburn would score the next 30 unanswered. Auburn would rout the #1 Bulldogs and double them up in yardage behind three passing touchdowns from Jarrett Stidham and 167 yards on the ground for Kerryon Johnson
- It would be the first of two #1 victories in three weeks for Auburn at home. The Tigers would beat #1 Alabama two weeks later to clinch the SEC West title and book a trip to the SEC Championship
