As we celebrate SportsCall’s 25th anniversary, we take a look back at the greatest Auburn football wins of the past 25 years!
Coming in at #12 is Auburn’s 1997 win over LSU:
- Auburn has won in Tiger Stadium before… even though it seems like it has never happened. In 1997, en route to a berth in the SEC Championship, Auburn beat LSU 31-28 in a thriller in Baton Rouge
- The 12th ranked Tigers of orange and blue led the Tigers of purple and gold 14-0 early but found themselves behind 28-24 with three minutes left and the ball in the contest
- Dameyune Craig and Rusty Williams led the Tigers down the field and into the end zone with 30 seconds to go to secure the victory. The win put Auburn into the top-10 and secured an elusive victory inside Death Valley
