As we celebrate SportsCall’s 25th anniversary, we’re taking a look back at the 25 greatest Auburn football wins since 1995!
Coming in at #7 is Auburn’s 2013 win over Georgia:
- The 2013 Auburn team’s special run almost came to an end in a rivalry game with the Georgia Bulldogs. After going up 37-17 in the third quarter, the Tigers allowed three straight touchdowns to the Bulldogs and trailed 38-37
- Nick Marshall would throw a desperation pass to Ricardo Louis on 4th and 18 with 25 seconds left in the ball game. After two Georgia defenders tipped the ball, Louis caught it and scampered into the end zone to put the Tigers back in front 43-38
- After another late drive by the Bulldogs was finally ended by a Dee Ford sack, the Tigers officially won and moved to 10-1 on the year. The pass would be dubbed “The Prayer in Jordan-Hare” and the play of the season… for two weeks
