1982- Musical Youth were at the No. 1 spot in the UK singles chart with “Pass the Dutchie”. The group were made up of boys aged 11-16 from Birmingham, England.

1995- Oasis released their second album ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory’. The album debuted at the top of the UK chart and has gone on to sell more than 18 million copies.

2002- Robbie Williams signed the most lucrative British record deal in history. He signed with EMI records for around $100 million and when asked what he would do with the money, Williams said he was “going to count it all.”
